If you want to try multiple places, yo uare probably best to head to Barrie area as there around 5 resorts right around Barrie.

Blue Mountain Resort

Blue Mountain is the go-to spot for skiing and snowboarding in Ontario. Located in Collingwood, it's got over 42 trails, multiple terrain parks, and a buzzing village scene. Perfect for a weekend getaway with friends or family. Bonus points for the après-ski vibes—cozy up by the fire with a hot chocolate or a cold beer.

Mount St. Louis Moonstone

Ski Snow Valley Resort

Just had a chance to visit the Ski Snow Valley resort in Barrie. It is smalled than other places but provides enough opoprtunity for beginner to mid level skiers and snowboarders. I had my child attend one of the beginner learning courses and was very happy with the results.
